Bronto: A Company To Watch! (Did we mention foosball?)

by Caroline Riddle on October 14, 2010

Earlier BrontoNation reported that Bronto had been named a Company to Watch by CED (Council for Entrepreneurial Development).

Bronto Software has been named one of 25 “North Carolina Companies to Watch” by CED, a private, nonprofit organization that promotes entrepreneurial efforts in North Carolina. The inaugural class of North Carolina Companies to Watch represent growth-stage entrepreneurial companies that demonstrate high performance in the marketplace, exhibit innovative products or display other unique qualities that make them “worth watching.”

Bronto CEO, Joe Colopy, and COO, Chaz Felix, accepted the award at a ceremony on September 23rd:

In preparation for the awards ceremony, CED requested to use the Bronto office space to record interviews with CEOs of the winning companies.  Of course we were more than happy to allow them to use our beautiful space here in the American Tobacco Campus.  Not only did we get to welcome CED to our office, but also top executives of great companies in our area.  The interviews turned out great and were played at the awards ceremony.  However, Bronto had a distinct “home team advantage,” in the videos at the ceremony.  Since we hosted the interviews, our video included some neat shots around the office.

As Joe Colopy noted on Joeism “One of the perks of being CEO is that I get to be the front man for the acceptance videos. In the video below, I describe what we do, how we started as well as briefly demonstrate my mad foosball skillz.”  The video includes a great introduction to Bronto from Joe, along with Bronto’s brief history and foosball!

Many thanks to CED and Glen Kantziper for the great video!  Stay tuned to BrontoNation for more great videos!
