Bronto Paintball Extravaganza

by Caroline Smith on July 23, 2010

The Bronto Social Committee is always hard at work finding fun activities to get Brontos together.  We didn’t have to look too far when we decided to play paintball, which had previously been played by the Bronto team years ago.  With the last paintball match a distant memory, it was an easy choice to round up the team again to play.

On Thursday, July 22nd, 25 Brontos and several of their family members met at Xtreme Kombat Paintball in Durham, NC for an afternoon of exhilarating, humid, and challenging paintball matches.  The team was divided up into 2 smaller teams pitted against each other for games of “Capture the Bronto”, Attack the Hill, and rounds in an “Paintsburg” – a mock cityscape which buildings, cars, and bunkers to hide and attack from.

Enjoy a recap video of some of the best moments of our paintball extravaganza:

With an average temperature of 90 degrees and with humidity you could cut through, the team was challenged by the elements, but played on until late in the night.  Even with some minor injuries and overall loss of energy, we’re already looking forward to playing another round of paintball again soon.
