At 7pm on a humid July night in North Carolina, no better place to be than a skybox at a Durham Bulls game. That’s exactly what Bronto employees partook in on Tuesday, July 7th. Over 25 Brontos and their significant others attended the Durham Bulls’ game in style, in a skybox.
The Durham Bulls are the local Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and the subject of the classic movie “Bull Durham.” Sadly the days of “Crash” and “Nuke” and discussing wedding gifts on the pitching mound are long gone, but the Bull Durham spirit remains. Good ‘ole American baseball enjoyed by one and all. And one of the many perks of working at Bronto is the availability of going to Durham Bulls’ games with season tickets through Bronto. The tickets (4 per game) are available through a lottery system, with most employees acquiring tickets for at least two games. It’s a great employee perk that allows Brontos to bring friends, family, or other Brontos to enjoy a Bulls’ game just a short walk from the office.
This year however, we’ve decided to “move on up” to a Bulls skybox for two games. Living the life of luxury, Brontos dined on hot wings, a full nacho bar, and washed down their food with a selection of beer, sodas, and water. The seating accommodations consisted of seats on the grandstand, as well as seats in the skybox, complete with th comfort of air conditiong and a TV streaming live coverage of the game.
