Fun Times at Bronto Software

by Caroline Riddle on July 6, 2009

As we continue the series “Why Work at Bronto?” we’ve talked about the area, we’ve talked about company perks, and how Bronto gives back.Bronto Halloween

As a reader of this blog, you undoubtedly already know how much we love Bronto. After all, we’ve talked about how great the Triangle is, the great working environment in our office and our commitment to community service. Now we giving you one more reason why we believe that “Bronto Rocks!” That’s our social activities. We believe that we have a better working team when we have shared experiences that cross departmental lines. To make that happen, Bronto has a social committee dedicated to helping promote a fun atmosphere.

Their goals:

  • To Bring all Brontos Together, including Significant Others
  • To Organize Activities Inclusive of the Different Interests and Schedules at Bronto
  • Do More with Less – Creative use of Budget

We’re lucky at Bronto to have many company perks, such as a Foosball table, Wii, and Durham Bulls tickets.  What the social committee does is take those perks one step further.  Consider our Foosball tournament, Bronto Rocks, and soon we’ll have an opportunity to rent a Durham Bulls Skybox.

Did we also mention the yearly Bronto birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving lunch, and Bronto holiday party?  How about Ice Cream Fridays or Donut Mondays?  The social committee here at Bronto is dedicated to bringing the company together through these fun events.  Because at Bronto, we believe that Bronto team members should not only work hard, but they should have time to play, and get to know other team members and their families. The more Brontos know their teammates, the more they work together.  This collaboration helps create a better and more fluid team.  A team who works well together to help improve Bronto across all departments in the company.

And that I say, makes Bronto Software a great place to work.

Sounds like Bronto is the place to be on Fridays and Monday’s. Do you guys have a softball team?

And Tuesdays…today Bronto has a skybox at the Durham Bulls game reserved. No softball team (yet) but how does a kickball team sound?
